The climate in Sydney

Located on the Tasman Sea and the state capital of New South Wales, Sydney is the most populous city in Australia with a population of 4.6 million. Sydney was the first British colony in Australia, founded in 1788 and is a high ranking world city today as a financial and economic hub. Sydney has a temperate climate with warm summers and mild winters and rain throughout the year. The average high temperatures in summer are around 25°C. In winter, they are around 8 to 9°C. Average precipitation is 1,200mm a year with an average of 140 days of rain. The temperature of the sea ranges from 24°C in summer to 19°C in winter.
