The climate in Sydney

Located on the Tasman Sea and the state capital of New South Wales, Sydney is the most populous city in Australia with a population of 4.6 million. Sydney was the first British colony in Australia, founded in 1788 and is a high ranking world city today as a financial and economic hub. The city is known for the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. There are also many museums and beaches, the Royal Botanical Gardens, Lunar Park, and the Sydney Tower. Sydney has a temperate climate with warm summers and mild winters and rain throughout the year. The average high temperatures in summer are around 25°C. In winter, they are around 8 to 9°C. Average precipitation is 1,200mm a year with an average of 140 days of rain. The temperature of the sea ranges from 24°C in summer to 19°C in winter.
