The climate in Hong Kong

One of the two Special Administrative Regions of China, Hong Kong is found on China’s south coast, enclosed by the Pearl River Delta and South China Sea. There is a population of over 7 million. Hong Kong is a leading financial centre and is known for its modern architecture. Due to a lack of space, the city built upward with many skyscrapers. Known as a city where “East meets West”, Hong Kong has a culture mixed with Chinese roots and British influences. Hong Kong has a humid subtropical climate with hot and humid summers and wild winters. The average high temperature in summer is 32°C, and in winter, high temperatures are around 21°C. Typhoons may occur in summer.
