Long ago, someone, somewhere coined the phrase 'scaredy cat'. It's true that cats are often easily scared and will dart from a room in a blur with the slightest unrecognized sound. Cats have a tendency to be very cautious and this probably plays a part in why they can be so easily scared. It's time for you to both address and abandon a fear. You've been clinging to something that makes you fearful for too long. It's no longer appropriate. You can afford to release it.
