Some people find that, to give up any bad habit, there shouldn't be any lead-up to doing so. Just give up, there and then, 'cold turkey-style'. Yet, we all know the most positive changes are gradual, introduced over periods of time. As keen as you might be to make a particular change, try to connect with the part of you that this needs to be done sensibly, pragmatically and slowly. Give a process a chance to gain momentum and it will. It just won't be rushed.
