The climate in Dublin

Located on Ireland’s east coast, at the mouth of the River Liffey, Dublin is the capital and most populous city of Ireland with a population of almost 530,000 in the centre and almost 2 million in the metropolitan area. The main attractions include Dublin Castle, the Spire of Dublin, Trinity College, the Temple Bar area, and the Guinness brewery. Dublin has a maritime climate with mild winters and cool summers. The average high temperatures in winter are around 8°C. In summer, average highs range between 18 and 20°C. Strong Atlantic winds are common in autumn, and rainfall is common throughout the year.
