The climate in Tel Aviv

Tel Aviv is located on the West Coast of Israel in Gush, the country’s largest metropolitan area. It has a growing population of 410,000 inhabitants. In 2003, Tel Aviv’s White City was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site and contains the world’s largest concentration of Bauhaus buildings. Home to the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, the city is an economic hub and a research and development centre. It is Israel’s financial capital and the 5th most visited city in the Middle East of Africa with 2.5 million visitors annually. It is famous for its exciting nightlife and is known as the “city that never sleeps”. It enjoys a hot-summer Mediterranean climate with warm, dry summers and rainy, mild winters. The humidity rate is quite high year-round because of the sea breeze. In wintertime the average high temperature is 17°C and rises up to 30°C in summertime. Most of the rainfall occurs from October through April. The city benefits from 300 days of sunshine annually.
