The third largest island of the Greater Antilles, Jamaica is an island country found in the Caribbean Sea. It has a population of almost 2.9 million, making it the third most populous English-speaking country in the Americas. Tourism is important to the country's economy. Attractions include Dunn River Falls, YS Falls, the Blue Lagoon, and its numerous beaches. Jamaica has a tropical climate with hot and humid weather. However, some of the higher inland areas experience a more temperate climate. The average high temperature is around 30°C all year with lows averaging between 21 and 24°C. The wettest months are March, August, September, and October with rainfall around 100mm each of these months.
