Take a step back in time this weekend with England’s Medieval Festival!

The festival will take place this weekend on the 24th, 25th and 26th of August at Herstmonceux Castle.

This annual event is the largest of its kind in the UK and is of a unique quality, ensuring a warm welcome to make your day a one of a kind experience.

Located in the Sussex countryside in a 15th century castle – Herstmonceux Castle- a truly magical setting, history literally comes to life for three days. You will enjoy full armoured jousting, knights’ fights and bowmen and armies will lay siege to the Castle with full cannon support. Many local artisans will show you how to create real medieval jewels, ornaments and many other things. A lot of activities will be held in a truly medieval tradition such as archery tournaments or falconry. It also features spectacular Grand parades, Puppeteers, Strolling Minstrels, music, dance, beer taverns and much more.

Held annually since 1992 over the three days of the August Bank Holiday weekend, it has quickly become Britain’s most magnificent celebration of the Middle Ages!
