You’ve probably heard about the famous beer festival the « Oktoberfest » in Munich but did you know about the London Oktoberfest?

The London Oktoberfest takes place from September 19th to October 6th. On the first two weekends, the event takes place in Kennington Park, Lambeth, and the last week end in Millwall Park, Canary Wharf.

The original Oktoberfest started in Munich 200 years ago as a celebration of the gathering of the harvest. At the London Oktoberfest, the waitresses and waiters are dressed in Dindl and Lederhosen.  The blue and white tents are filled with long tables where delicious giant beers, specially made for the London Oktoberfest, are served. The tents offer space for 3,300 people.

The beer is brewed in Germany according to the German purity law and has a strength of approximately 5% by volume.

The entrance is free but they offer a package including food, beer and seat reservation for £34 per person.
