Rev your engines! It’s time for the annual motor racing festival that is sure to get your heart racing!

More than a Car Race

The Silverstone Classic, taking place this year from Friday 26 July to Sunday 28 July, is an annual three-day race event at the Silverstone circuit, home of the British Grand Prix. It is known as “The World’s Biggest Classic Motor Racing Festival. Founded in 1990, the event currently attracts over 1,000 competitors from historic Formula 1 cars to Le Mans Group C prototype and touring cars for its numerous races.

But that is just a start.

There are over 7,000 classic cars on the infield over the weekend for you to admire. This year, there will also be a special tribute to Aston Martin with an extensive car display and a 100 car parade lap to celebrate its 100th year. In addition, there will be a parade of Porsche 911s to celebrate the sports car’s 50th anniversary. The 50th birthday of Lamborghini and 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette will also be commemorated.

If all the races and cars weren’t enough, there is also live music to keep you entertained! Headlining this year’s show is the British group, The Hollies.

And that’s not all!

Throughout the weekend, there are aerobatic displays, parachute free falls, retail shopping with art, antiques, books, models, clothing, and automobilia,a  free fun fair and inexpensive rides, food and drinks, and more!
