Apricots are mainly in season July and August, so be sure to bite into this fresh fruit before it’s too late. Fresh apricots can be washed and then eaten raw. Both the fresh and canned versions are great in fruit salads or served as dessert. The taste can range from sweet to slightly tart so you might prefer to mix it with other sweeter fruits. Apricots can be used in pies, cakes, and turned into jam. Dried apricots are a tasty snack that can also be added to your cereal, muesli, or yogurt.

Health benefits

Fresh or dried, apricots are a great addition to any diet. They are a great source of vitamins A and C. However, fresh apricots will provide you with more vitamin C than the dried ones. They are also full of iron, which helps to strengthen the immune system. The fruit is also rich in potassium, a very important mineral for the body’s every day functions.
