The artichoke is known as the oldest medicinal plant dating back to 4th century B.C. It is native to the region of Southern Europe, North Africa and the Canary Islands. You can eat it directly or take artichoke leaf extract.

Health benefits

The best part of the plant is its leaves. It is useful in treating chronic digestive complaints including nervous gastrophathy, irritable stomach and flatulence. It also prevents high cholesterol, specific liver conditions with elevated blood fat values and heart disease.
