Who doesn’t love Tulips? The Netherlands is renowned as the land of Tulips and now is the best time of the year to visit the flower fields.

Spring is the time of the year when the bulbs are in full bloom, offering a stunning display of colours. Most of the tulip farms are located in the Northeast polder in the province of Flevoland and in the area known as the Kop van Noord-Holland.

The most well known bulb-growing area is the Bollestreek near Leiden, home of the world famous Keukenhof, situated only half an hour away from Asmterdam by car and displaying over 7 million tulips and other bulbs in bloom, creating a majestic and wonderful atmosphere.

Mid-April is the perfect time to see the tulips in their peak season which extends from the end of March to the end of May.
