Monday will be a rather cloudy but dry day across most of the UK. Drizzle is possible in areas of thick cloud, especially North West Scotland. There is the possibility of some sunnier spells in  parts of Eastern Scotland. Temperatures generally quite mild for the time of year, between 7 and 10°C.

On Tuesday, patchy areas of fog will lift in the morning but the day will remain cloudy in most parts. Again, the best of the sunshine will be in north east Scotland. Feeling mild again on Tuesday.

By Wednesday, conditions will have changed very little. Cloud persists over most of the UK and there is a chance of drizzle in some places where cloud is most abundant. The afternoon will see temperatures of between 4 and 7°C with minimum temepratures overnight between 1 and 4°C. There is a chance of rain in Scotland in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Conditions will remain dry into Thursday but with heavy cloud persisting in most areas. North east Scotland will benefit from the best of the weather with bright sunshine forecast throughout the day. Possibility of showers in the south west and far north of Scotland.
