A rainy morning across most parts of the country on Monday. Later on in the day the rain progressively clears off leaving Scotland and the northern parts of the UK breezy with the possibility of a few showers at times. During the afternoon it will be sunny and fine across the country with some light cloud. The south and south-west parts of the UK will be cloudy and wet during the evening with heavy rain in places. Maximum temperatures will be between 16°C and 19°C. A windy and wet night across most of the UK with heavy rain at times and a risk of thundery downpours mainly in south-east England. Expect minimums of 4°C to 7°C in Scotland and 9°C to 12°C in the south.


On Tuesday, heavy rain continues to move north bringing some brisk winds in Scotland and the northern parts of the UK.  The rain will gradually increase with some dry periods at times across the country. Similar conditions for the afternoon with heavier rain across most parts of the UK and a strong south-westerly wind with gusts of 50-55mph reaching up to 60mph in western areas. The showers will become heavier at times with a risk of thunder, especially in western areas. During the evening and the night the rain should start to ease off  in the south and the south-east parts of the country. It will be generally windy with temperatures between 6°C and 17°C.


On Wednesday it will be mainly cloudy and showery across Scotland and Northern Ireland. The weather elsewhere will be dry with sunny spells during the morning. Later on in the day the rain will spread across the UK and become heavier at times with a risk of thunder. Maximum temperatures should be between 13°C and 15°C. Overnight, the weather remains unsettled and windy with showers across Scotland. Dry with some clear spells elsewhere and minimums of 6°C.   


On Thursday northern parts of Scotland will experience a rainy and windy day. However, southern parts of Scotland will be mainly dry and sunny with some light cloud. The weather conditions further south will be dry but breezy with some sunny spells and the possibility of some showers at times. Maximum temperatures will be between 15°C and 17°C. Overnight, any rain will ease off for most of the UK leaving clear spells. Temperatures will feel chilly with the possibility of some frost in northern parts of Scotland. Expect minimums 5°C.


On Friday the weather conditions will be mainly dry with sunny spells across the UK. Later in the day, cloud may become thicker across southwestern areas bringing some showers in places. Maximum temperatures will be between 14°C and 16°C with a fairly brisk east or southeasterly wind across most of the UK.  Overnight, it will be dry with some clear spells across most of the country but milder with some patchy rain further east. Expect minimums of 3°C.
