Keeping work separate from your relationship can be the key to staying happy as a couple... or maybe we've got it all wrong and you should just work with your partner.

We just don't know anymore!

Our confusion comes from adorable pair Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, who star alongside each other in the upcoming thriller A Quiet Place. It seems that traditional wisdom may have to be reconsidered, after Blunt said that working with her other half was an incredibly enjoyable experience.

She said: "I'm a huge fan of him obviously but we quickly realized how collaborative we were together and we actually worked really, really well together.

It's not A Quiet Place the couple seem to be in, but a great place!

All is well now, but Blunt did say that she was "apprehensive" before accepting the role, adding: "You don't know how your two processes are going to work together. It's like a different thing when you're at work. You take on a different persona."

The reasons for this positive experience are very simple according to the actress, who stated they "really trust each other." Well, isn't that just lovely.

Of course, there are a few other elements to this great relationship, such as knowing when to be completely truthful with your partner.

"We're very honest with each other. We sort of have a short hand and secret language that ultimately is gonna work for us," she added.

Of course, working some family time into the mix is also key. Blunt pointed towards this, sighting her 4-year-old Hazel and almost 2-year-old Violet as a source of peace and happiness for the pair. She even described her kids as the "ultimate" distraction from the stress that is associated with her work.

That being said, she still doesn't want her children to be aware of just how big she is in the world of Hollywood quite yet. She said that she'd "love" to keep her children in the dark for just a little while.

She said: "I think it must be a disconcerting thing for kids of actors because it's a weird thing to understand. They just want you to be their mom at the end of the day, and I don't think [Hazel's] aware yet really."

The actress seems to have figured out an excellent balance to her life in the spotlight alongside Krasinski, who has done the same. A Quiet Place may be a thriller, but it seems that a happy home is what this pair find thrilling.
