They were Icons in their youth, stars admired for their physical beauty and for their talent. Be it actors, models, fashion designers, they have all aged and changed…and sometimes for the worst !

Gérard Depardieu

Gérard Depardieu was a handsome man during the Golden Age following his film, Going Places, in 1974. Famous worldwide, talented and charismatic, Gérard Depardieu has acted in more than 150 films. It is in 2013 that everything changes, when he decides to leave to live in Russia, stars in a film about Dominique StraussKahn and takes a role in the series Marseille. That said, Gégé Depardieu will always remain a monster of French cinema.

Matthew Perry

Matthew Perry had a great run during his time on Friends. All the characters in the series are loved and the sexy Chandler is greatly appreciated by the fairer sex ! After Friends, he unfortunately experienced a long quiet period, appearing in a stream of bad series and films. At 48 years old, he has made a comeback with the series The Odd Couple, but hasn’t he changed ?!!

Brigitte Bardot

Brigitte Bardot was the object of a whole generation of men’s fantasies during the 1950’s. A true Icon and muse, both childlike and femme fatale, Brigitte Bardot was a figure of femininity and a world wide star. Today, she has somewhat lost her sparkle and time has taken its toll. Today she is 82 years old and is very invested in animal causes.

Mickey Rourke

Destiny has not been tender with Mickey Rourke. Even if 9 and a half weeks made the star into a hunk and icon of american cinema, the next stage of his life was not to be so kind. During a quiet period in his career in the 1990s, he, in effect, launched himself into a professional boxing career leaving him with marked physical damage. This explains why he has undergone such an (unsuccessful) physical transformation.

Sylvester Stallone

Rambo and Rocky are the two films which transformed Sylvester Stallone into a cinematic action film reference. The unbreakable man. Today he is 70 years old and we suspect he may have gone under the knife to try and retain his youthful looks. Raised eyebrows, lips…Its a shame as it gives him a sinister look.

Meg Ryan

Meg Ryan is also an icon of the 80s. We obviously remember her performance in When Harry Met Sally and then in You’ve got a message. Sparkly, candid and funny, this image will stay with her for a long time. Unfortunately, when trying to shake off this reputation, she appears ina TV show to promote the release of her new film in 2013 and comes under great attack from the press and the public for her behaviour on the set.. It is at this point that she begins to underg transformations to her face in order to appear younger. A series of cosmetic operations which leave her face deformed. Since the beginning of 2000 she has kept a pretty low profile.

Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan hasn’t aged much as she is only in her early 30s. Her appearance has however taken a blow over the last few years. Having begun her career very young in the film ‘The Parent Trap’, then later in the mythical ‘Mean Girls’, what was to follow complicated things somewhat. A series of bad films ensued and Lindsay suddenly becam better known for her misdemeanors than for her talent. Short jail stays, alcohol, drugs and cosmetic surgery have sadly made her more famous than her films.

Macaulay Culkin

He is already 36 years old and we still remmeber Kevin McCallister in ‘Home Alone’, Cult Christmas film. The money and his complicated family life have led him to excessive drug use, alcohol and anti depressants. He has even done some time for his drug addiction. Today he lives in Paris and his career seems to be starting up again.

Donatella Versace

She is one of the most influential fashion designers. Magnificently beautiful in the 80s, she now belongs to that set of people who have overly indulged in cosmetic surgery and who have reached the point of no return. Puffy face, waxy lips…you name it, she’s got it.

Jack Nicholson

He is one of the biggest actors in American cinema. He is infactt the most renowned and most awarded actor of the Oscars. Despite going through an obvious physical transformation since the beginning of his career, Jack Nicholson remains one of the best actors of his generation and a monster of the cinema at 80 years old.
