If you haven’t seen the TV show, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, then we would suggest you log onto your Netflix right now and get set for an epic binge, then come back when you're done.

We'll wait....

Great, so you're back. Welcome. Now, let us give a brief description for all the folks who didn't take our advice to go watch the epic show.

It is top drawer entertainment that has a little bit of everything; there is drama, comedy, action and even a little music thrown in for good measure… actually, there is a lot of music, but it’s great.

Co-creator of the show, Rachel Bloom, has some bad news for fans of the excellent series though. The co-creator, who also plays the main character on the series, Rebecca Bunch, has pretty much insisted that the show is going to end after its fourth series.

In fact, both Bloom and its other co-creator, Aline Brosh McKenna, have both said that the show is going to stop after the fourth series.

Bloom, who is currently on tour with the cast of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, tweeted: "Just turned on my wifi on our flight to Chicago and found out that #CrazyExGirlfriend has been renewed for a final season."

In 2016, the actress, singer, writer and all-round genius that is Ms Bloom told E! News that the show would not have more than four series in total.

She said: “It's a series that lives in being finite. It's because [Aline Brosh McKenna] is a screenwriter. She was like, 'I just want to map out the whole series.' We spent months just marinating the characters and really mapping it out. Our ratings aren't amazing, so I don't think CW would be like, 'Please give us 10 seasons!' It works to our advantage in that sense."

The team has been mapping out the finale of the series from the very beginning and although we will be sorry to see it go, it is good to see shows leaving the airwaves in their prime… yes, we are looking at you The Simpsons.

Thus, fans have one more great series of the show to enjoy.

It’s rare that American shows end when there is still a demand from viewers, but this seem to be the case here. This can only be a positive thing as viewers will never get the chance to get sick of the characters or feel like the story is being dragged out.

Thus, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is going out on top. Well done to all.
