Yesterday on the 8th of September, torrential storms caused flash floods in south-eastern Spain. These floods washed away cars and lorries and the whole region turned into a huge river.


In Adra, a town situated in the province of Almeria, the floods caused serious damage as 50 homes, 200 cars and 30 shops were covered by water on Monday.


Andalucia, Murcia and Valencia were affected the most by the heavy rainfall and more than 300 incidents caused by the rain were reported to emergency services.


In addition, 3 men drowned in the rising water in the province of Granada.
