Heavy fog in southern and eastern parts of England has caused flight cancellations at Heathrow Airport and disrupted ferry services.
Heathrow Airport had to cancel over 52 incoming and outgoing flights yesterday morning because of the dense, heavy fog. Experts said there were reports of almost no visibility during the rush hour in London.
Fog also caused flight cancellations at Southampton Airport. Ferry services were also affected. The fog which extended to the East Midlands and East Anglia started to disappear by late morning with sunshine breaking through in parts of Kent, Suffolk and London.
