The images you’re about to see were published on Monday, a few days after one of the most powerful  and strongest typhoons ever recorded in the world  struck the Philippines with winds of up to 320km/h, forcing millions to take shelter.

The storm created important landslides and ripped apart many buildings. More than 12 million people are at risk.

The video was shot by the Storm Hunter Jim Edds. He travelled towards Tacloban, the town which has experienced the most damage, in order to film and show the violence of the phenomenon.

Up to 12,000 people are believed to be dead in Tacloban. Thousands remain missing.
