Heavy monsoon rain caused flooding and roofs to collapse last weekend in Pakistan. At least 45 people were killed across the country, most of them were electrocuted, officials said.
Hundreds of mud-houses were damaged by the heavy rain and flooding in the provinces of northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and southern Baluchistan.
This isn’t the first time Pakistan has experienced devastating monsoon floods as it has been happening for the last three years. The worst in its history occurred in 2010 when catastrophic flooding killed more than 1.800 people.
Heavy rain is still expected over the next few days.
