Powerful typhoon Utor has hit the northern Philippines today, causing major damage and killing at least one person.
With winds of up 150km/h and torrential rain, the storm has caused landslides on the main island of Luzon. Fishermen have also been reported missing due to the strength of the typhoon.
As it moves towards the sea, Utor has intensified slightly and is expected to move across southern China. Manila was strongly hit but there have not been any reports of important flooding.
