However, the rain prevails in southern England accompanied by strong winds in places. Overnight it will be showery across northern Scotland and southern parts of the UK. During the afternoon it will be dry with sunny spells across Scotland and Northern Ireland but the rest of the country will experience heavy rain with storm activity in places. Rainy across most parts of the UK overnight. Temperatures will be between 5°C and 19°C.
