Monday will bring strong south-westerly winds and gusts to the western coast of Scotland and exposed coastal parts of Wales and South West England.  Scattered showers and rain are expected all over the UK throughout the day, with risk of hail and thunder in some areas.  Although sunny spells might warm the weather in the afternoon, the entire day will feel cold.

On Tuesday, wintry showers will occur over most of the UK and only southeastern areas will stay dry. It will be very windy but brisk westerly winds will slowly ease through the day. Overnight, rain will fall over patchy areas and Scotland will have sleet. High temperatures between 7°C and 10°C.

By Wednesday, a band of rain and drizzle will arrive from the west and will spread across the UK during the day. Scotland will be windy and overnight, wintry winds and rain should become heavier. Temperatures should be mild but due to winds, it will probably feel cold.

The band of rain, sleet and drizzle will eventually end up covering the whole of the UK on Thursday. Sunny spells might still occur, especially in central areas. Overnight, winds should push clouds out of the country. Minimum temperatures between 0°C and 3°C.

The end of the week should be dry except in Scotland, where light rain and showers could occur. Friday morning will be very sunny and clear however clouds will gradually cover the sky during the day.

Have a nice week!
