The UK’s steam railway lines are steeped in history. Travel back through time by taking a tour on one of the lines that are still running today. Listen to the sounds of the engine chugging away as you take in the scenic countryside. It’s the perfect excursion for children and the young at heart.

The most popular line is the 41-mile trip between Mallaig and Fort William. Usually, it is used by a standard diesel train, but twice a day during the summer months, a Jacobite steam train makes the picturesque journey – the same journey that is seen in the Harry Potter films as our favourite characters travel aboard the Hogwarts Express!
