The annual Cheese-Rolling Festival takes place at Cooper’s Hill in Gloucestershire each Spring, normally on the Spring Bank Holiday. The concept is quite simple. Chase a 7 to 8 pound wheel of cheese down the hill. If you’re the first to arrive at the bottom, you win. The hitch is that the hill is quite steep making running down it a difficult feat. Most contestants stumble and end up rolling down after the cheese.
