The tiny city-state of Monaco, or officially called the Principality of Monaco, is the second smallest country in the world, just after the Vatican. The small territory counts more than 36,000 inhabitants. And is famous for the area known as Monte Carlo, home of the renowned Monte Carlo Casino. The country has numerous museums such as the Museum of Prehistoric Anthropology, and also has many beautiful monuments like Monaco Cathedral, Fort Antoine and old churches. The weather is mild all year round but the best months to discover Monaco are during the summer, in July and August. Rain usually falls in winter, during the coolest months. A constant sea breeze causes the atmosphere to be temperate with average high temperatures of 25°C in summer and 12°C in winter.
