Nicaragua is located in Central America and it is the largest country there in the Central American isthmus. It is bordered by Honduras and Costa Rica. It counts a total population of around 6 million people with Managua its capital and largest city. There are many beautiful and varied attractions in Nicaragua. These include the colonial city of Granada with its impressive architecture and colourful houses of a Victorian design. Nicaragua has a tropical climate. It has a dry season which occurs between January and June and a rainy season which occurs between June and July. In august and July, normally it rains once a day. The average temperatures in the lowlands are between 22° C and 30° C and they can reach up to 38°C in May. The temperatures are approximately 5°C cooler in the central part of the country and about 10°C cooler in the hills.
