The climate in Palma

The major city and port on the Spanish island of Majorca, Palma is located on the south coast on the bay of the same name. It has a population of 401,270. Many tourist resorts are found in the east of the city. A popular area is the Old City, a maze of streets that hint at the city’s Arab past. Other destinations include the cathedral named La Seu, the Arab Baths, and the beaches. Palma has a semi-arid steppe climate. The warm season lasts from June to September, and the cold season is from November to March. The average high temperature in summer is about 29°C. In the winter, it is about 12°C with lows near 8°C. The average rainfall is 427mm a year with most falling during the cold season.
