The climate in Sudan

Sudan is an African country bordered by Egypt, the Red Sea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, South Sudan, the Central African Republic, Chad and Libya to the northwest. It is the third largest country in Africa with Khartoum its capital and Omdurman the largest city. It counts a population of approximately 38.43 million people. Sudan offers plenty of tourist attractions such us the National Museum, the Omdurman camel market and the Red Sea. The most popular archaeological sites in Khartoum are Meroe, Naga, Nuri and Bajrawiya. Another stunning place is Jebel Marra which is known for its exceptional beauty, its volcanic lakes, its lovely resorts and its waterfalls. The climate in Sudan is generally tropical. In the desert zones average temperatures are over 43.3°C with frequent dust storms. In Khartoum, the average annual temperature is around 26.7°C.
