The climate in Bangkok

Found on the Chao Phraya River in Central Thailand, Bangkok is the capital of the country and has a population of over 8.2 million in the city centre. What started as a small trading post in the 15th century is now a booming city that is a major regional centre for finance and business. Bangkok is a top destination for tourists with its culture, food, and nightlife. Popular attractions include the Grand Palace, the national museum, Khao San Road, the Chatuchak weekend market, and the Taling Chan Floating Market. Bangkok has a tropical wet and dry climate. The rainy season lasts from May until October. The city has an annual precipitation of almost 1,500mm. Temperatures remain almost constant year-round. The average high temperature in summer is around 34°C. In winter, it stays around 31°C with lows near 21°C.
