The climate in Antalya

Found in southwest Turkey on the Mediterranean coast, Antalya has a population of almost 965,000. It is the biggest international sea resort on the Turkish Riviera. The beach attracts tourists with its beaches, but there are also many historical sites. The old town has been restored to retain its historical character. There are also ancient monuments and museums such as the archaeological museum, Antalya Museum. The city’s climate is a Mediterranean one with hot, dry summers and mild, rainy winters. The average high temperatures in summer are between 31 and 34°C. In winter, they are around 15°C with lows near 6°C. Though annual precipitation is 1,057mm, there is an average of 300 sunny days per year.
