The climate in Ascot

Located about 25 miles from London in Berkshire in the South East of England, Ascot is a village with a population of 5,100. It is best known as being the home to the Ascot Racecourse which hosts the prestigious Royal Ascot meeting each June. It is one of the most famous race meetings in the world and dates back to 1711. The royal family attends each year, arriving by horse drawn carriage. Ascot has a climate characterised by warm summers and mild winters. The average high temperature in summer is 22 to 23°C with night time lows around 12°C. In winter, the average high temperature is 8°C with lows near 1°C. Rainfall is spread fairly evenly over the course of the year. The village experiences between 12 and19 days with some precipitation each month. July and August typically have the fewest rainy days.
