The climate in Barmouth

Located on the estuary of the River Mawddach and Cardigan Bay in Gwynedd in Northwest Wales, Barmouth is a town with a population of 2,522. The shipping industry used to play an important role as the town grew around it. More recently, it has become a seaside resort destination for holidaymakers. As the closest resort to the West Midlands in England, the town attracts many visitors from this region. Notable landmarks include the medieval Ty Gwyn tower house and the Ty Crwn prison. Barmouth has a climate characterised by cool summers and mild winters. The average high temperature in summer is about 20°C. In winter, the average highs are around 9°C with lows near 2 to 3°C. Rainfall is spread throughout the year with October through January typically being the wettest months where rain occurs on about 20 days each month.
