The climate in Blackburn

Blackburn is found in Lancashire County in North West England. It is a large town with a population of 105,080 inhabitants. Blackburn is well known for its industrial textile manufacturing past which was the town’s most rapid period of growth. It is home to the inventor of the spinning Jenny, the weaver James Hargreaves. Since the 1950s, there has been a significant wave of migration to the area, which makes it the city with the highest proportion of migrants in the UK after London. The Blackburn Cathedral and The Town Hall are two noticeable landmarks. It has a temperate maritime climate with cool summers and mild winters. The average temperature in August is 20°C and 6 °C in January. It experiences rainfall all year round.
