The climate in Cleethorpes

Located on the estuary of the Humber in North East Lincolnshire in Yorkshire and the Humber, England, Cleethorpes is a town and seaside resort with a population of 31,853. First developed as a fishing village, resort goers started visiting the town in the 1820s thanks to the popularity of sea-bathing and the taking of medicinal waters. The Greenwich meridian also passes through the town. Popular landmarks include the Ross Castle, the pier, the South Promenade, and the beaches. Cleethorpes has a maritime climate characterised by cool summers and mild winters. The average high temperature in summer is 20°C with night time lows near 12°C. In winter, the average high temperature is 7°C with lows near 1.5°C. Annual precipitation is typically 565mm, one of the lowest rainfall amounts in the UK. Rain is spread out fairly evenly over the course of the year.
