Coventry, situated in the West Midlands, is the 11th largest city in the United Kingdom. As it is located in the geographic heart of England, in terms of temperature, it has a transitional climate between northern and southern England and in terms of rainfall, between Wales and eastern England. Winters are cold and wet and sometimes frosty with the coldest months in January and February. In winter, minimum temperatures are around 0°C and maximum temperatures around 7°C. Summers can be very pleasant with plenty of sunshine with maximum temperatures at around 22°C and minimum temperatures of 11°C.

Located in the county of West Midlands in England, Coventry has a population of over 315,000. It is further from the coast than any other city in Britain. Coventry also lays claim to being the world’s first twin city when it formed a twinning relationship during the Second World War with Stalingrad (now Volgograd), Russia. The city is a centre for motor and cycle manufacturing, and the famous London black cab taxis are produced here. St. Michael’s Cathedral is Coventry’s most visited and well known landmark.
