Dolphins and whales are often spotted in the Bay of Gibraltar. The territory is also a popular shopping destination with many British high street chains. Gibraltar has a subtropical Mediterranean climate featuring mild winters and warm summers. The average high temperatures in winter are around 13 to 14°C with lows near 10°C. In summer, the average high temperature is between 22 and 25°C. The territory receives an annual rainfall of 767mm with most precipitation falling during the winter months.
