The climate in Newbury

Newbury is the main town in the County of Berkshire in South East England. Situated on the River Kennet, it has a population of about 32,000. Its name comes from the fact that it was founded as a ‘new borough’ following the Norman invasion in the 11th century. The town has a popular historic town centre, containing various 17th century buildings. The Highclere Castle and the ruined Donnington Castle in its countryside are popular places to visit. It is home to the UK headquarters of the mobile network operator Vodafone, employing more than 6,000 people in the area. In July, the daily high temperature average is 22°C and the daily low is 11°C. The average temperature in January is 4°C. The town experiences some snowfall in winter.
