A large town in Northamptonshire in the East Midlands, Northampton has a population of 212,100. The town’s history dates back to the Bronze Age, Roman, and Anglo-Saxon periods. Historically a centre of shoemaking and leather industries, today, Northampton is a distribution and finance centre. Popular attractions include the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, All Saints’ Church, and the Express Lift Tower. Northampton has a maritime climate featuring cool summers and mild winters. The average high temperature in summer is between 19 and 22°C. In winter, the high temperatures are around 7°C with lows near 0°C. Average rainfall is about 638mm per year.
