Found in the shelter of Mount’s Bay on the English Channel in Cornwall in South West England, Penzance is a town, civil parish, and port with a population of 21,168. The earliest settlement dates back to the Bronze Age, and the town grew thanks to being granted a royal market in 1404. Today, light industry, tourism, and retail play a large role in the town’s economy. Popular attractions include St. Mary’s Church, Chapel Street, and the historic harbour areas. Penzance has a mild climate thanks to its location.
