Southport is a seaside town in the metropolitan borough of Sefton. Weather in Southport is much like the weather in north west England. Temperatures are very much like the national average, with the usual cool summers and mild winters. The region experiences heavy precipitation and severe snowfall but the seaside location of Southport makes it a rather pleasant city to live in. Southport was once the home town of Napoleon III of France.
