Located in South West England, Swindon is a large town in the ceremonial county of Wiltshire. It has a population of 209,000. The Bodleian Library’s book depository in Swindon has 153 miles of bookshelves. Swindon is home to many festivals, including the Swindon Festival of Literature and the annual Swindon Mala. There are also many museums in the city such as the Artsite Ltd., the National Museum of Science and Industry, and the Railway Village Museum. The climate in Swindon is maritime with comparatively mild winters and cool summers. The average high temperatures in summer are between 18 and 21°C. In winter, the average high is around 6 to 7°C. Annual rainfall is about 720mm.
