The climate in Las Vegas

Known primarily for gambling, shopping, and fine dining, Las Vegas is a major resort city in the Mojave Desert in the southwest state of Nevada in the United States. With a population of almost 600,000, the city is one of the most visited in the world. The main attractions in Vegas are the casinos and the hotels. The Las Vegas Strip is home to some famous hotels and casinos such as the Bellagio and The Mirage. The climate in Las Vegas is a subtropical desert one. It has an average of about 300 sunny days a year and only about 106mm of rainfall. Average high temperatures are between 37 and 40°C in the summer and 14 and 17°C in the winter. Snow is extremely rare in the city centre.
