The climate in Orlando

Located in the Southern American state of Florida near the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean, Orlando has a population of 238,000. Nicknamed “The Theme Park Capital of the World” thanks to its many parks including Disney World Resort, Universal Orlando Resort, and SeaWorld, this city attracts over 50 million tourists a year. Orlando has a subtropical climate with hot and humid summers, typically May through October, and warm and dry winters, November through April. Strong but brief thunderstorms are very common during the summers, occurring almost daily. In the dry season, forest and brush fires may be a concern. Average temperatures in the summer are around 33°C, and in the winter, they are around 22°C.
