Uruguay is a country in the southeast of South America. It is bordered by Argentina, Brazil and by the Atlantic Ocean to the south and southeast. It counts a population of approximately 3.3 million people with Montevideo its capital and the largest city. Uruguay is a place with stunning landscapes and natural beauty. It is possible to see a cow-and-gaucho traffic jam there or small fishing boats across Montevideo's coast side. The climate in Uruguay is strongly affected by the fact that it is situated in the temperate zone of the tropic of Capricorn. It has warm summers between December and February with average temperatures from 22°C to 26°C. Winter occurs from July to January with generally cooler temperatures between 8°C and 12°C. In Uruguay there are no extreme temperatures and the weather remains quite stable across the country.
