The climate in Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan is a country situated in Central Asia. Uzbekistan is bordered by Kazakhstan and the Aral Sea, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan and Turkmenistan to the southwest. It counts a total population of around 31 million people with Tashkent its capital and the largest city. Uzbekistan has a great culture and history. People can visit the historical buildings such as the Kukeldash madrassah which is one of the most popular attractions and the Sheikhantaur Mausoleum in Tashkent. The climate in Uzbekistan is continental. Generally, in southern parts of the country the temperatures are warmer than in the North. The coldest month is January where the average temperature is around 8°C in the North and above 0°C in the far South. The minimum temperatures that have been recorded are around -35°C. The warmest months are July and August where average temperatures are between 25°C and 30°C in the North and up to 41°C in the South.
