For the past few days, cold air from the north has been affecting Eastern Europe and western parts of Russia. Due to a depression over the Balkans, heavy snow has affected Serbia, Romania and Bulgaria. In parts of Bulgaria, snow of up to 3m has been recorded in some areas.

I like snow, you can pick it up and throw it at somebody, you find it difficult to do with rain!

how is it that other countries have worse snow conditions than britain but life goes on as normal.In britain people would be phoning into work [laces saying they cannot get in because of the snow, transport grinds to a halt. Look at the clip shops are open roads are being used.

The beauty of snow, the dread of mankind. Not sure which is in my mind as I watch this. My heart goes out to the people.
